Hi I'm Briony Platt

I specialise in empowering Managers and Leaders, helping them to develop the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to build high-performing teams.
I’ve spent over 20 years working with Business Owners, Leaders and Managers in global, national, and rapidly growing regional businesses. My expertise lies in supporting both managers and their teams with the right development to enhance performance, engagement and mindset, transforming them from day to day managers into people leaders.
What drives me is the ripple effect - the belief that by working with Leaders and Managers, I’m not just impacting the individual, but also the teams they lead and the results they deliver. I’ve seen first hand how equipping managers with the right skills and beliefs transforms businesses from the inside out.
Having started my own career in recruitment - first as a consultant and later leading my own sales team, before moving into Recruitment Training and Management Development - I understand fast-paced, results-driven and people-focussed environments.
I’ve worked in and with many a business where most Managers are promoted from within, as a reward for being a top performer. Unfortunately it’s then quite common to forget that the promotion from excellent, high-performing team member to Leader of the team is effectively a career change! And yet we just expect people to instinctively know what to do and how to do it. Realistically, it requires a whole new skillset that they didn’t have previously, not to mention the shift in behaviours that is often also needed.
That’s where I come in. I help sales, recruitment and professional services businesses create strong people leaders who know how to get real performance through their people.
So if you’re a senior leader or business owner, looking to provide training and development to strengthen your management team, create people leaders and drive results, let’s talk.
Why I do what I do
Managers impact on our job satisfaction, performance and mental health (CIPD 2023).
I believe that everyone deserves a great manager. I also believe that everyone who is placed in a role where they have responsibility for others should have the appropriate training and support to perform capably and confidently in that position. Whether that's when they first start to manage people, to fill gaps in their knowledge and approach further down the line, or as a refresher at some point in the future.
The work I do is personally meaningful. I remember my first manager role, the lack of training to do the job and how that made me feel. Let me explain...
My approach is always underpinned by:
Curiosity: Seek knowledge, explore new ideas, and ask questions, in order to provide the right solutions.
Honesty: Communicate with integrity, accuracy and transparency
Creativity: Create solutions which address the needs of the client or individuals: encourage new ideas to thrive
Effectiveness: Focus on delivering excellent results which help people and teams succeed
Growth: Help clients and their teams realise their potential and support them in achieving their personal and professional goals.
